vkRetA

Order management software for small businesses

vkRetA gives an Indian small business one place to review customer orders, move each order through its permitted fulfilment steps and connect delivery with inventory, billing and customer history.

Reviewed 8 October 2026

Move every order through a clear next step

New orders should not disappear inside messages or depend on one person remembering what happened. vkRetA records the customer, items, quantities, value, payment method and current fulfilment state together.

The workflow moves from New to Accepted, Packed, Shipped and Delivered. Only the next valid forward action is offered, while cancellation is limited to the stages where the goods have not already been shipped or delivered.

Keep fulfilment connected to stock and billing

A cancelled eligible order restores its reserved inventory once. A delivered cash-on-delivery order creates its paid invoice and any eligible reward at completion instead of treating an uncollected order as revenue.

Product names, prices and images are preserved with the order so the merchant can understand what the customer bought even when the catalogue changes later.

Find the order without reading every row

Merchants can use status filters and search by order, customer or mobile number. The dedicated order view shows products, delivery information, totals, status history and the linked invoice when one exists.

  • Colour-coded fulfilment states
  • Product thumbnails and item details
  • Server-validated totals
  • Order history linked to the customer

How order management works in vkRetA

Orders arrive from the business website and follow the same short path every time, so anyone on the team can see what happens next.

  1. A customer places an order on your website

Customers browse your published catalogue on your vkRetA subdomain, add products to the cart and place a cash-on-delivery order. Catalogue prices and any coupon are recalculated on the server before the order is saved.

  2. The order appears as New in your workspace

The order list shows the customer, items, value and current status. If you installed the vkRetA workspace on your phone and turned on notifications, a new order can also raise a notification on that device.

  3. Accept, pack and ship

Each order offers only its next valid step: Accepted, then Packed, then Shipped. Stock for the ordered items is already reserved, so the quantity on your products screen stays honest while the order is being prepared.

  4. Mark it Delivered when the customer has it

When a cash-on-delivery order is delivered, vkRetA creates the paid invoice for that order. The sale then appears in your billing history and in the customer's record.

  5. Cancel only when it is still possible

An order can be cancelled while it is New, Accepted or Packed. Cancelling restores the reserved stock once. Shipped and Delivered orders cannot be cancelled.

Key order management capabilities

  • One fulfilment path

New, Accepted, Packed, Shipped and Delivered, with cancellation limited to the stages before shipping. Nobody has to remember an informal status code.

  • Stock that follows the order

Ordered quantities are reserved when the order is placed and returned once if an eligible order is cancelled.

  • Invoice on delivery

Delivered cash-on-delivery orders create a paid invoice automatically, so billing is not a separate copy-and-paste job.

  • Search and filters

Filter orders by status and search by order, customer or mobile number when a customer calls to ask about delivery.

  • Order history that does not drift

Product names, prices and image references are kept with the order, so later catalogue edits do not change what the customer bought.

  • Included on the Free plan

Online orders are part of the Free plan, alongside the website, inventory, invoices and customer records.

Who it is for

  • Product businesses selling locally

Boutiques, general stores, gift businesses and other sellers who deliver or hand over orders themselves and collect cash on delivery.

  • Home and food businesses

Home bakers, cloud kitchens and home-made product sellers who take orders through a website link shared on WhatsApp or Instagram.

  • Small teams sharing the work

An owner and one or two helpers who need the same view of which orders are new, packed or out for delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Does vkRetA support online card payments for customer orders?

Not currently. Public product checkout is presented as cash on delivery. vkRetA does not advertise customer online payments as active.

Can a delivered order be cancelled?

No. Shipped and Delivered orders cannot be cancelled in the current workflow.

Does an order keep its original product information?

New order items preserve important product details, including the image reference, so later catalogue edits do not rewrite the historical order.

Where do vkRetA orders come from?

Orders come from your vkRetA business website. Customers add products to the cart and place a cash-on-delivery order, which then appears in your order list.

Is order management included in the Free plan?

Yes. Online orders are included in the Free plan together with the website, GST invoices, inventory, appointments, coupons and customer records. The Free plan supports up to 25 products and services.

What happens to stock when an order is cancelled?

An order can be cancelled while it is New, Accepted or Packed. The stock reserved for that order is restored once, so it is not added back twice.
